Description:
Residents live in one of 16 state licensed group homes in West Volusia,transportation is provided on weekdays to and from the adult day training at the main campus on Grand Avenue in Glenwood. Open Monday to Friday 8:45 to 2:45, residents and visiting non-residents participate in an intensive day program that focuses on basic life skills of daily living. Key to achieving the greatest level of independence and highest quality of life is the individualized plan developed for each resident. Through a combination of learning new skills, social interaction, job-training and participating in many volunteer opportunities and activities throughout the community, residents of Duvall Homes thrive in a family environment both in the group homes and at day training where the number one priority is to empower them to become as independent in their lives as possible.
