Description
Community Assistance implements a wind hazard mitigation features program that may assist eligible homeowners with window and door coverings (hurricane shutters), gable-end, tie-downs and upgraded garage doors within Volusia County�s service areas. The service areas are anywhere in Volusia County, except the city limits of Daytona Beach, Deltona and Ponce Inlet. If you reside in one of these cities, you are not eligible.Funds shall be provided to eligible households with a zero interest, deferred loan. However, the owner may be responsible to pay the closing costs depending on their Area Median Income level. This cost can be between $0 and $500.00. The maximum award per household is $10,000.

Eligibility
Reside in in Volusia County, except the city limits of Daytona Beach, Deltona and Ponce Inlet. Household must meet income requirements. Applicants must have owned and occupied the housing unit for a minimum of one (1) year under a recorded instrument and have current homestead exemption status. Property taxes and existing mortgage(s) must be current. The housing unit must be site built or a manufactured home located on land you own that was built after 1994.
Fees
Funds shall be provided to eligible households with a zero interest, deferred loan. However, the owner may be responsible to pay the closing costs depending on their Area Median Income level. This cost can be between $0 and $500.00. The maximum award per household is $10,000.

Description
Homeowners with damages caused by declared disaster can apply for a Home Repair Grant up to $20,000 or Insurance Deductible Payment.

Required Documents
Completed Application and the following documents as applies: photo id, social security card, birth certificate, divorce decree, benefits letter within the last 60 days, last 3 months pay stubs, last 6 months bank statements,warranty or quick claim deed, proof of FEMA filing, and proof of property insurance filing.
Eligibility
Must live in Volusia County, but not within the city limits of Deltona or Daytona Beach. Residents applying for assistance for manufactured homes are eligible only if the home was constructed after June 1994 and the resident owns the land where the home is located. Applicants� household income may not exceed 120 percent of the area median income.

Applicants must apply for FEMA assistance first. Complete an application which is available online at www.volusia.org/housing and drop it off in person or mailed it to Volusia County Community Assistance, 110 W. Rich Ave., DeLand, FL 32720. The service areas are anywhere in Volusia County, except the city limits of Daytona Beach, Deltona and Ponce Inlet. If you reside in one of these cities, you are not eligible. The program is funded by Volusia County through federal and state grants and governed by guidelines and regulations as set forth in the Affordable Housing Program Policy (AHPP). Funds are provided to eligible households with a zero interest, deferred loan or repayment loan (in very limited circumstances funds are provided as a grant). Eligible households will be evaluated according to the policy�s underwriting standards.

The purpose of the Volusia County Community Assistance Division�s Homebuyer Assistance Program (HBA) is to assist eligible households to purchase a home by providing a deferred payment loan needed for purchase assistance and closing costs.

Eligibility
The home must be located in Volusia County, except within the city limits of Daytona Beach, Deltona and Ponce Inlet. (NOTE: Limited funds are available for purchases within the city limits of Port Orange and Oak Hill.) The applicant(s) cannot have previously received housing assistance from Volusia County. The applicant cannot have owned a home within the last three years (additional restrictions may apply). The applicant must be able to secure a first mortgage. Household income must fall into one of the Area Median Income (AMI) levels listed on the program information sheet.
