Provides limited cremation and burial services to indigent people who pass away in Volusia County in accordance with Florida Statutory requirements.

Required Documents

Photo ID, Social Security Card, proof of all of the deceased's household income from the previous 30 days of death which include but not limited to wages/salary, social security, disability, and pension/retirement.

Eligibility

Volusia County residents, must not have any form of life insurance, household income must not exceed 125% of the federal poverty guidelines.

        Description

        Provides rental security deposit payment assistance to eligible Volusia County Residents.

For condemnation: supporting documentation is required from Code Enforcement or the Health Department.

        Eligibility

        Volusia County Residents that are: Domestic violence survivors living in a DV shelter at least 30 days with permanent protective order against perpetrator. First-time Section 8 recipients whose house passed inspection. Those escaping a residence that has been condemned and identified “uninhabitable” by either Code Enforcement or the Health Department.
