The Diabetes Education program at Halifax Health Medical Center offers a comprehensive diabetes education program that is recognized by the American Diabetes Association. A team of Certified Diabetes Educators, nurses and a dietitian teach people how to manage and live a healthier life with diabetes. We can help you whether you are newly diagnosed or have had diabetes for many years. Education is provided through one-on-one appointments as well as group classes. Individual nutrition counseling and gestational diabetes (pregnancy) counseling is available. We also offer a free monthly support group. Family members are welcome to join in the learning process.
