Providers include physicians and physicians' groups; physical, occupational, speech therapists; pathologists; clinical social workers; clinical psychologists; outpatient hospital services; rural health clinics; outpatient rehabilitation facilities; ambulance service providers (limited); x-ray treatment services; radiation treatment services; providers of prostheses, braces and medical equipment and supplies; home health care providers; certain mammography screening programs; and providers of certain injectable drugs (limited). Providers who "accept assignment" agree to accept payment at Medicare's allowed rate.
