We provide expert behavioral health service with comprehensive medical care, including a full complement of diagnostic services.
Halifax Health is a designated Baker Act receiving facility. Our trained professionals offer screening and assessment for behavioral health issues 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Visiting Hours
Monday through Friday 6:30 to 8:30 pm.
Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays 2:00 to 4:00 pm, and 6:30 to 8:30 pm.
Support Groups
Halifax Health - Adult Behavioral Services offers FREE Bipolar and Depression Support Groups weekly on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3:00 to 4:00 pm. Call 386.254.4080 for more information.
Emergency
Halifax Health offers three psychiatric screening rooms in the Emergency Department for fast evaluation.
Halifax Health Medical Center is the only hospital in Volusia County to be certified by the Department of Children and Families as a Baker Act facility.
